SPRING CLASSIC DU Registration Options: Register Online (Midwest Events) Register Online (Active.com) Print the Registration Form **Upon registration, you agree to the Tri Fitness Race Refund and Cancellation Policies** The race fees are as follows: Unless you opt for the no shirt no medal option, all participants will receive short sleeve technical event shirt. Registrations after 4/30 may receive their shirts in the mail after the race. Overview Join us for one Minnesota s oldest duathlons. Same great course and same great time, but now managed by MMR and timed by Randy Fulton. The run course remains in the park and has participants running on paved trails. This is a fairly flat course with a shorter second run just when you need it most! This is a great course for first time duathletes as well as those more experienced duathletes just jumping back into the 2018 multi sport racing season. Short Course Duathlon The first run is 3 miles on shaded and paved trails within the park. Once you finish this run, enjoy the rolling hills of the park and surrounding horse country on your 14 mile bike ride. Then finish your race with a shorter 2.5 mile run on those same shaded and paved park trails. Long Course Duathlon Join the short course runners for the first 3 miles of your race by running the gorgeous, shaded and paved trails within the park. Then head out for your two loop roughly 25 mile bike course through the Lake Elmo countryside. Finish with a 2.5 mile run on those same great paved park trails. Reverse Course Duathlon Not as big a fan of running as you are biking? This option is perfect for you. Start with a 14 mile bike (same course as the short and long duathlon). Follow your bike ride with a 2.5 mile run on the shaded and paved park trails. Then get back on your bike for one more loop of the bike course. Stay for the barbecue following the race. Join us for turkey dogs and burgers, and catch up with all your racing friends who were holed up for this long and cold winter. We have also given you the option to opt out of the medal and shirt and save some cash. Those opting for the shirts and medals will receive a short sleeve technical shirt and a finisher medal. Everyone is eligible for age group awards. Packet Your race packet will include all the materials you need for your race, race bib, timing chip, bike number, and some fun stuff like your complimentary event shirt (if you select shirt and medal option) and special offers. Bike numbers must be attached to your bike prior to entering the secure transition area. Make sure you hang on to your bib after you are finished racing as we will be matching your bib against your bike number as you leave transition for the day. Please wear your timing chip on your LEFT ankle. Packets will be available on May 17 th in our race offices in White Bear Lake as well as on race day. Those registered will receive an on Monday, May 13 th will all the details and any course updates as well as an age group breakdown by race category. Bike Course Click here for the printable map Click here for the interactive map (not available) Run/Bike Transition Area To help with the congestion that often happens within the transition area and to ensure the security of your gear, only participants and volunteers will be permitted in the transition area. Bikes must be walked/run in the transition area. Mount/Dismount Zones are located just outside the transition area. You must wear a helmet at all times you are on your bike. For teams, please transfer your chip at your bike transition area. The entire bike route is open to traffic, so please be aware of vehicles and plan on following all traffic rules when traffic control is not present. The road surface is asphalt and course volunteers (armed with brooms) are stationed at all turns. This should be a nice, clean course, so please help us keep it that way by holding on to your empty gel packs or other litter. All bikes are required to display a bike number. Bike support will be available in the transition area from our friends at Gear West. However, make sure your bike is in good working order. This is not the place to get a free tune up!
